I can’t belive a month has gone by since my last post. Time flies when you are not paying attention and losing focus can derail your progress. Time to dig in the heals, I’ve got a two month clock that just started counting down, I’m going to a professional conference in June and I want to show off the new me!
Before Heart Month comes to a close here is a couple of ideas to get some of the sodium off your plate while pumping in tons of flavor!
1 TBSP each of chopped FRESH , Basil, Mint, flat leaf parsley and green onion
1 TBSP of chopped shallot
2 TBSP each red wine or sherry vinegar
3 TBSP chopped Shallot
1 TBSP of cracked black pepper
2 TBSP each of red and white wine vinegars
When faced with a difficult decision err on the side of living and enjoying your life. You’ll be glad you did and you won’t burst into flames!
I just got finished telling you how good it felt to return Chritmas gifts because they were too big and now…WHAM! a wall. ouch.
Some post holiday joy to spread around!
TIP OF THE WEEK: Dying for a slice of pizza? I was, yesterday I went to a party where there was a ton of pizza. ILOVE PIZZA! I ate salad….but then, like a flash of light it came to me. I can have the pizza , It’s just the crust I want to avoid! So I took a knife and performed a toppingectomy, I took all the yummy good tastystuff off the top of the pizza. Artichokes…good, tomato…good, olives…good, Cheese…gooooooooood! I got all the flavor of the pizza and none of the carbs that would have made it a “failure” for me. AND I had SOME of the toppings from ONE piece of pizza rather than shoveling in 3 or more whole slices. Then I had another plate of salad. It really was better than it sounds, give it a try! I continue to try to get here as regularly as possible and I think I have a plan moving forward! For now a little pep talk on maintaining focus.
